Can a RAID drive be used as BOOT drive? No. The RAID controller needs driver from OS for proper functionality. It is also advised by for instance Microsoft to boot the system on small HDD and use RIAD system for all data / other applications
Max. size of HDD which can be used? Up to 250GB HDD can be used, with chipset Silicon Image Sil 0680CL144
The driver on CD-ROM or from the internet site cannot be used for this device. Windows installs a 'unknown device'. In some exceptional cases this can happen. Download utility 13237_03.exe to solve this issue.
